“Go Green” – an all too familiar phrase heard throughout the 21st century, borne of human exploitation and disregard for the environment. To date, a primary contributor to environmental deterioration has been the built environment sector with significantly large carbon footprints and extensive use of our limited resources.

In order to mitigate the damage and minimise future negative environmental impacts, a revolutionary movement and moral business practice was created – Green Building. The fundamental principle of this practice is to utilise manmade technologies & practices in an environmentally conscious manner, to aide in the creation of healthier, sustainable, more efficient buildings, thus ensuring a harmonious relationship between built products and the environment in which they exist.

ARiYA, as a member of the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA) and with its internal resource base of highly qualified individuals with Green Star SA Accreditation, is able to provide the highest quality consultation in ensuring that new buildings meet the sustainability targets and existing buildings are retrofitted to gain maximum operational efficiency whilst reducing the environmental impact. In this regard, ARiYA is able to facilitate all processes from initiation through to close out to achieve a desired Green Building Certification based on GreenStar SA and other standards, e.g. US LEED.
